„Slime Rancher“, das bereits für den PC, die Xbox One und die PlayStation 4 erhältlich ist, wird im Herbst 2018 ein Free VR update as the developer Monomi Park has announced.
Damit wird „Slime Rancher“ also für die virtuelle Realität fit gemacht, doch noch wurden keine unterstützten VR-Headsets genannt. Der „VR Playground“-DLC entsteht in Zusammenarbeit mit dem VR-Studio 3lb Games. Allerdings werden nicht alle Gameplay-Elemente in der VR-Version verfügbar sein. Bisher wurden die Spielgebiete „Dry Reef“, „Moss Blanket“ und „Ancient Ruins“ bestätigt.
Slime Rancherplayed from a first-person perspective, tells the story of Beatrix LeBeau, a brave young rancher who sets off for a planet thousands of light years away from Earth. There she tries to make a living by conquering the so-called Slimes.
