Sony Interactive Entertainment has announcedhow often PlayStation VR has sold. And this does not mean units delivered to retailers. We are actually talking about VR headsets that are in the hands of users.
As confirmed, PlayStation VR has sold over three million units worldwide. At the same time, 21.9 million games and experiences were sold for PlayStation VR. A total of almost 340 PSVR games and experiences were released.
"We want to thank all of our fans for their amazing support and are thrilled that so many of our players have experienced the magic of VR and stepped into the immersive worlds that electrify our senses," said Mary Yee Vice President, PlayStation Marketing.
Sony Interactive Entertainment has also announced the dates of two PSVR games. These are "Creed: Rise to Glory" (25 September 2018) and "Evasion" (9 October 2018). A list of the most-played titles to date has also been published.
