The developer Bimboosoft has a new sports game in development with "Dream Match Tennis VR", in which fans of virtual reality and tennis should get their money's worth. "Dream Match Tennis VR" will be released for PlayStation VR in summer 2018. Other platforms have not been mentioned yet.
Bimboosoft focuses on an authentic and realistic simulation of the sport, which is why an arcade game in the style of "Virtua Tennis" should not be expected. For example, it is very important to accurately estimate the stroke angle and the distance to the yellow ball. In addition, topspin strokes, slices and other techniques are possible.
The game is played from the first-person view and the PlayStation Move motion controllers are used for the controls. In order to create a realistic gameplay, the Bimboosoft a physically correct simulated ball physics as well as a clever opponent AI, which should provide a great challenge. At least there are aids for beginners. "Dream Match Tennis VR" offers three modes: "Challenge", "Exhibition" and "Practice". There are also eight characters to choose from.
