Nach der Beta haben Starbreeze und Overkill Software das reguläre VR-Update für den Koop-Shooter „Payday 2“ veröffentlicht. Das Update ist kostenlos auf Steam and HTC Vive and Oculus Rift are supported.
Sobald die Inhalte installiert wurden, wird gefragt, ob man das normale „Payday 2“ oder die VR-Variante spielen möchte. Es ist sogar ein Cross-Play mit der üblichen PC-Fassung möglich. Und übrigens: Nur weil „Payday 2 VR“ is out of beta, this does not mean that Overkill Software has stopped development. The VR shooter will continue to be supported and improved.
„Payday 2 VR“ stellt das komplette Spiel dar und ist keine kurze VR-Erfahrung. „In Payday 2 VR könnt ihr Banken ausrauben, euch in eine Kunstgalerie schleichen, einige Biker in ihrem Hauptquartier erledigen oder ins FBI einbrechen, und das mit bis zu drei Freunden – egal, ob sie ein VR-Headset haben oder nicht. Payday 2 VR ist plattformübergreifend. Selbst wenn nicht alle eure Freunde über ein VR-Headset verfügen, könnt ihr gemeinsam am PC spielen,“ so die offizielle Beschreibung.
