Following the beta, Starbreeze and Overkill Software have released the regular VR update for the co-op shooter "Payday 2". The update is available free of charge on Steam and HTC Vive and Oculus Rift are supported.
As soon as the content has been installed, you will be asked whether you want to play the normal "Payday 2" or the VR version. It is even possible to cross-play with the normal PC version. And by the way: just because "Payday 2 VR" is out of beta, this does not mean that Overkill Software has stopped development. The VR shooter will continue to be supported and improved.
"Payday 2 VR is the full game and not a short VR experience. "In Payday 2 VR, you can rob banks, sneak into an art gallery, take down some bikers in their headquarters or break into the FBI with up to three friends - whether they have a VR headset or not. Payday 2 VR is cross-platform. Even if not all your friends have a VR headset, you can play together on PC," says the official description.
