Island Time VR: Survival adventure with humour

In the film „Cast Away“ hatte Tom Hanks den Ball „Wilson“, im kommenden Survival-Abenteuer „Island Time VR“ strandet man ebenfalls auf einer Insel. Diese ist allerdings sehr klein und die einzige Gesellschaft ist eine sprechende Krabbe namens Karl.

The goal of „Island Time VR“ is to survive as long as possible until rescue eventually arrives. As the saying goes, you have to use your wits and ingenuity to avoid starving to death. Tools are made and animals are driven away. Meanwhile, Karl always has good advice in store.

Da die Insel in „Island Time VR“ recht klein ist und sich alles in Griffnähe befindet, ist eine umfangreiche Fortbewegung überflüssig. Darüber hinaus ist der Titel so ausgelegt, dass man ihn mehrmals durchspielt, mit ansteigendem Schwierigkeitsgrad. So werden Ressourcen knapper und man wird vor neue Herausforderungen gestellt.

„Island Time VR“ wird von Flight School Studio entwickelt, das man vom interaktiven Film „Manifest 99“ kennt. „Island Time VR“ wird noch im Frühjahr 2018 für PlayStation VR, HTC Vive und Oculus Rift erscheinen. Es wird ausserdem auf der SXSW und GDC spielbar sein.
