Der Science-Fiction-Thriller „The Humanity Bureau“, mit Nicolas Cage in der Hauptrolle, wird in diesem Jahr in die Kinos kommen. Passend dazu wird ebenfalls eine VR-Serie namens „The Humanity Bureau VRevolution“ veröffentlicht.
In „The Humanity Bureau“ geht es darum, dass grosse Teile der USA durch die Folgen der globalen Erwärmung unbewohnbar geworden sind. Die Menschen müssen umgesiedelt werden und dafür hat die Regierung das „Humanity Bureau“ ins Leben gerufen, das entscheidet, wer für das Gemeinwohl nicht nützlich ist. Diese Menschen werden in die Kolonie „New Eden“ abgeschoben.
The episodic VR serieswhich will be available from 2 March 2018, does not follow the plot of the film. It tells stories that take place in parallel and provide a deeper insight into this dystopian world. It is not yet known how long the episodes will be and how many there will be. Platforms have also not been named. As with the film, Rob W. King is responsible for directing.
