To coincide with CES 2018 in Las Vegas and the announcement of Vive Pro announced that "Viveport VR" has undergone the most comprehensive upgrade since its launch.
The improved "Viveport VR" is set to redefine the way users search, discover and buy VR content. Instead of a conventional 2D view, the content is displayed in an interactive preview. "Viveport VR" uses "VR Previews", interactive insights into content that offer the customer a room-scale preview of an experience and even the opportunity to interact with the content before purchasing or subscribing to it.
"Viveport is now moving towards a VR first experience and changing the way consumers search, discover and purchase VR content," said Rikard Steiber, President of Viveport. "Until now, there has been no shopping and browsing experience that utilises the full functionality of VR. Viveport VR increases interaction with content and provides game developers with a preview that further emphasises the quality of their gaming titles and experiences." Over 1,000 titles are currently available via Viveport, 325 of which are available as subscriptions.
