SimFabric has an unusual game in development called "Mushrooms: Forest Walker", which will be released for PC in 2018. There will also be a VR version. The name hints at what it's all about.
At "Mushrooms: Forest Walker" is a mushroom picking simulator. This means that you collect, identify and sell mushrooms and also use them to prepare meals, elixirs and special mixtures. To do this, you travel to five different areas in North America, Asia, South America, Europe and Africa. Each area contains specific and unique mushroom varieties, of which there are over 100.
You will find edible and non-edible mushrooms, as well as special mushrooms with unique properties that can be used as ingredients for healing and creating mixtures with special effects. While walking through the forest, you will meet other characters who are also looking for mushrooms. You can help them find these mushrooms to get special recipes and items.
However, there are many dangers lurking in the woods, which is why you need to have additional skills to survive in difficult conditions. And if you don't like travelling alone in the forest, you can set off with friends in the multiplayer mode of "Mushrooms: Forest Walker". The gameplay trailer provides the right impressions.
