Sony Interactive Entertainment hat angekündigt, dass die „WipEout Omega Collection“, die für die PlayStation 4 erhältlich ist, Anfang 2018 ein kostenloses VR-Update erhalten wird, um PlayStation VR zu unterstützen.
With the free VR update, you will be able to play every track and every game mode (online as well as offline) in the „WipEout Omega Collection“ get to play. In addition, three new ships will be added for PSVR pilots, offering a special cockpit view for PlayStation VR, including head tracking.
„Das bedeutet, dass ihr euch die Innenräume der neuen Schiffe ansehen könnt und dabei die futuristischen Rennstrecken wie noch nie zuvor erlebt. Und da ihr jetzt den Sound in Full-3D-Audio geniessen könnt, wird dies die immersivste WipEout-Erfahrung überhaupt. Und es gibt noch mehr: All die neuen Schiffe sind exklusiv für PSVR-Piloten,“ so Sonys John McLaughlin. Das Update beinhaltet zudem den neuen Remix des Tracks „Shake It“.
