Droid Repair Bay: New Star Wars VR Experience

"Star Wars" fans can look forward to a new VR experience in the well-known sci-fi universe. This is "Droid Repair Bay", which is once again being developed by ILMxLab, a division of Lucasfilm.

"Droid Repair Bay" will accompany the latest film "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" advertised. As the VR project is funded by car manufacturer Nissan, it is unclear if and when "Droid Repair Bay" will be released for home use. For the time being, the software will only be available in selected car dealerships in the USA, Mexico and Canada. It is based on HTC Vive and Samsung Gear VR.

In "Droid Repair Bay" you take on the role of a repair robot on board Princess/General Leia's ship. As a player, you repair and maintain various droids such as BB-8. The newly introduced droids are designed to look different and have their own personalities for the sake of variety.
