VR game like PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds

„PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds“ is currently enjoying huge success on the PC, breaking one record after another. So it's hardly surprising that other developers are also taking the „Battle Royale“-Genre take up. It even goes into virtual reality.

Oneiric Entertainment hat jetzt quasi eine VR-Version von „PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds“ angekündigt. Dabei handelt es sich um „Virtual Battlegrounds“which will be playable with HTC Vive and Oculus Rift next year (presumably as an early access beta version).

Das erste Gameplay-Video, das übrigens aus einem sehr frühen Stadium der Entwicklung stammt, zeigt, dass „Virtual Battlegrounds“ eigentlich alles hat, was in ein „Battle Royale“-Spiel gehört. Da VR-Headsets allerdings noch nicht so verbreitet sind, werden zunächst nur 16 Spieler unterstützt, so der Creative Director Sean Pinnock, doch später könnten es mehr werden.
