On 29 July, there will be a special kind of tournament at Zurich Main Station. At the evian oversize event "Live young Open", you can play against tennis star Stan Wawrinka in VR and win a big prize.
The spectators cheer. The sun is shining and on the other side of the net is the virtual opponent: Stan Wawrinka - the ATP world number 3. evian, the mineral water producer, is organising the "Live young Open" oversize event on 29 July at Zurich main station with a VR game specially programmed for this purpose.
The game visualises the famous centre court of the US Open. Whoever scores the most points from the 20 selected participants against the well-known evian ambassador Stan Wawrinka wins a trip to New York to experience the US Open live.
Register and win
You can register for the game using the form Liveyoungopen.ch. Afterwards, 20 players will be drawn by lot to challenge the virtual Stan at the "Live young Open" at Zurich Main Station on 29 July. A short training session will serve as a warm-up so that the players can prepare themselves technically and mentally for Stan the Man. The player who scores the most points will win a trip for two including two tickets to the US Open, travel expenses and four nights in a hotel in New York worth around CHF 5,500.
Serious preparation helps
Nun stellt sich die Frage, wie kann man sich optimal auf den Match vorbereiten? Da das virtuelle Tennisspiel eigens für das „Live young Open“ programmiert wird, kann man es nicht eins zu ein üben. evian empfiehlt, – wen wundert’s – um mental und physisch optimal vorbereitet zu sein und sich jung und fit zu fühlen: Wasser zu trinken. Vielleicht helfen aber auch diverse andere VR Games, bei welchen man etwas schlagen oder werfen muss. Zudem wird sportliche Kleidung, da man sich ja doch bewegt, empfohlen.
