Map shows VR experiences worldwide

A new map called VRNISH shows consumers where they can experience VR. VR companies are invited to register free of charge.

New and exciting VR experiences are currently springing up all over the world every day. However, most developers have too little budget to draw attention to themselves. That's why it can be extremely difficult to find out where you can experience something in VR. You have to have insider knowledge or do good research.

VRNISHthe world's first VR directory, aims to solve this problem. Imagine you are travelling in another city and can see at a glance what entertaining VR experiences are available there. At the moment, most people will be amazed at what VR experiences are already available in their own city.

Leading consumers to VR

VRLINES, the Paris-based company behind the app, hopes that the map will give VR even more of a boost in the mass market. "As VR content developers and VR fans, we spend a lot of time proselytising. People ask us all the time - where can we try VR?" says Emilie Gobin Mignot, founder of VRLINES.

The link between VR locations and consumers was missing, which is why they decided to create VRNISH. Just under a month ago, more than 200 locations were already listed, which are spread all over the world. The directory, which also contained around 300 individual VR experiences shortly after the launch, is divided into all VR experiences, games and films. An overview of hardware providers is also planned. The functionality of the site could still be optimised somewhat, but the project is still in its infancy.

Free entry for companies

The owners or providers of VR experiences create and manage their entry themselves and the good thing is that their own VRNISH page is free for the companies. There are currently only 3 locations registered in Switzerland: VR Centre in Dietlikon, We are Cinema with headquarters in Zurich (but operating throughout Switzerland) and Transfinity in Lugano. I dare say that there are still a few dozen locations missing in Switzerland.
