The future of flirting begins with FlirtAR

Dating apps are now a dime a dozen. The upcoming app FlirtAR promises an innovation and wants to compete with the previous singles and dating exchanges with a quick direct contact. It uses augmented reality for this purpose.

So flirt lovers watch out. Things could get exciting this autumn when FlirtAR, the world's first augmented reality (AR) dating app, is released at the end of September. The promising app combines technologies of facial recognition, geolocation and augmented reality.

The scanner

It's a bit like in Migros: if you scan a product with the corresponding app, you get the associated info. With FlirtVR, it's now simply a matter of flesh and blood. The whole thing is supposed to work in a very simple and user-friendly way: If the person of your dreams crosses your path, you open the FlirtAR app and point your smartphone at that person. If the person is registered, you can already see their name, age and interests. Even the music the person might be listening to at the moment is displayed, depending on whether this has been made available to others.

The Live Check

As soon as someone looks at the information or the profile, you receive a message that you have just been discovered. Depending on your flirting mood, you can then get involved in the flirt in real time or leave as quickly as possible. Hiding behind another or a photo-shopped picture no longer works with this app, because you immediately meet live.

According to the developer Artha Holding, the new app solves one of the main problems of conventional dating apps. She believes that people waste a lot of time with previous dating apps. It is human nature to get into conversation with each other. With the previous dating apps, singles and people looking for contact spent hours presenting themselves to each other. When you then meet the people in real life, everything is often different and the profiles and statements do not match at all.

Privacy is the top priority at FlirtAR. All users have to log in via the known social networks and go through a double verification.

Other uses: Find friends

But the app doesn't just help people find a partner. It is also intended to help people find new friends if, for example, they have moved to another city. With the information from the profiles, it is certainly easy to find a suitable conversation starter.
