The CGI film "Resident Evil: Vendetta" will be released on Blu-ray and DVD in Japan next week. A VR experience has been announced to coincide with this release. The game is called "Resident Evil: Vendetta - Z Infected Experience" and will be released free of charge for PlayStation VR on 24 May 2017. Unfortunately, this only applies to Japan. It is currently unknown whether Europe will also be supplied. The film is due to be released here in July 2017. It is therefore quite possible that the VR experience will be made available at the same time.
The "Resident Evil: Vendetta - Z Infected Experience" takes place from a completely different perspective that you are not used to from the games. You experience the events from the perspective of a zombie attacking famous characters such as Chris Redfield. In the "Resident Evil: Vendetta - Z Infected Experience", you are apparently automatically guided through the areas, but you can at least look around freely. It is not known whether there will be any interactive elements. Nevertheless, the video provides some good impressions.
