Geneva-based studio Kenzan Studios has announced a VR Arcade franchise system. Anyone who would like to have a VR arcade can do so with Kenzan Studios as a franchise product. Kenzan Studios provide the hardware, software and technical support. The Kenzan Arenas are each 200 square metres in size. For the motion capturing, Kenzan works with the Chinese partner Noitom together. They are pioneers in this field. But that is not all. The experience in the Kenzan Arcade Arena is enhanced by mixed reality experiences. This means that objects can be manipulated physically as well as virtually. Wind and flight simulators are also used.
The first game available will be "The Lost Pit". This will be the first real VR e-sport game in which up to 12 players can fight simultaneously. It will even be possible for entire arenas to fight each other. Of course, more games for the Kenzan Arenas will follow. Among them is an Escape Room-like game called "EnigmAttic VR" as well as "Holiday Break" and "Starpirates VR" for children and families. The first Kenzan Arena in Switzerland will open in summer 2017. We can hardly wait and will report on it with a big article as soon as it is ready.
