Augmented Reality at the Innovation Park Zurich

The Zurich Innovation Park, a new platform for research, development and innovation, is being built on the grounds of the Dübendorf airfield. Part of the recently opened information pavilion is an augmented reality experience designed and developed by Zurich-based VR and AR service provider Bandara.

An AR application on tablets brings a specially designed table to life: The satellite image printed on the table is enriched with 3D views of the buildings and the surroundings. Via the app's interface, it is now possible to experience various construction phases of the Generation Project - from the beginnings of Swiss Aviation to the construction of the Innovation Park Additional information on individual areas of the plant can be displayed via hotspots.

The augmented reality table is part of a permanent exhibition in the information pavilion of the Innovation Park Zurich. Two tablets are available for visitors, which are attached to the table and equipped with specially designed cases.
