Experience the art of HR Giger in Virtual Reality

The dark beauty of Swiss artist H. R. Giger's surreal, biomechanical paintings lay in blurring the lines between the real and the unreal with his peculiar art of Fantastic Realism. With a painting like Necronom IV, for example, Giger creates a creature that had the body of a human but transformed into something else. Against this background, it makes sense to transport Giger's works from nightmarish fantasies to a virtual reality. Through virtuality, fantastic realism gets another dose of the unreal.

Created by Fguillotine transported "H. R. Giger Virtual Gallery" takes the audience into Giger's office. The viewers pass through a series of doors into a futuristic, post-industrial landscape in which various Giger works are hung.

Sure, the virtual Giger experience doesn't do justice to the real art, though it's likely that the master would appreciate the nightmare surrealism atmosphere.
