VR Gaming Arena in Winterthur

Winterthur recently opened its own VR Gamin Arena. At Steigstrasse 26, the GenZoneVR opens on over 200 m2 with state-of-the-art entertainment in the virtual reality world.

With state-of-the-art virtual reality technology, different games/genres with several layouts each and a large spectator area with lounge, the GenZoneVR creates a completely new social gaming experience.

"Our objective is clearly to give the guest a completely new experience in a cosy atmosphere," as managing director and co-owner Juanma Seijo explains.

From adventure to party games

"With us, you can experience a virtual world on 200 m2, move freely and let your workday come to a perfect end or experience "team building" in a whole new way through a company event," he says. The games are each designed for up to eight participants (in constellations of up to 4:4 players), who can immerse themselves in the virtual world together. Juanma Seijo emphasises: "With our selection, we appeal to action-packed adventures as well as party players with team play. Whether it's a zombie shooter, a laser tag/paintball-like "player vs. player experience" or a fun party game "the Floor is Lava", thanks to the use of the latest technology, there are almost no limits to what can be offered. Bookings are made on a round-robin basis."

Every guest should feel at home

To make the stay at GenZoneVR Winterthur as pleasant as possible, a lounge corner with sofas and stools was set up on 60 m2 to linger and relax. "In addition to screens for the spectators who can follow the action on the gaming floor, we have set up a small selection of traditional arcade machines in addition to the main attraction, so that the waiting time can be shortened with a round of "Pacman" or "Streetfighter", for example," says Seijo. "For the thirst after the game, we offer soft drinks". In addition, there are plenty of parking spaces available. It is even easy to get to Steigstrasse 26 by public transport.
