The first purely digital Energy radio station goes live in the Metaverse. Plans include several live concerts on Web 3.0.
Energy is launching the first radio studio in the Metaverse and is planning a virtual concert series with Swisscom. According to a press release, this will offer the digital-savvy community completely new opportunities to explore the world of Energy and experience it interactively. The "unique virtual radio studio" has its own music programme, its own sound and is also regularly visited by various well-known Energy presenters.
Radio in Decentraland
The realistically recreated radio studio is located on Decentraland - a decentralised 3D platform for virtual reality. The radio studio was designed and realised in collaboration with Software Brauerei AG from Zurich. As a long-standing presenting partner of Energy Live events, Swisscom has also been on board with the realisation of the Metaverse from the very beginning and is represented with its own lounge and the "blue Space".
"With a small, agile team and together with Swisscom and Software Brauerei, we have been able to realise the new radio station in the Metaverse in recent weeks," said Pascal Frei, CEO of the Energy Group. "Now we want to experience the possibilities with our community, learn a lot and drive the Metaverse project forward." Dirk Wierzbitzki, Head of Private Customers and Member of the Executive Board at Swisscom, is delighted with the joint initiative: "Metaverse is on everyone's lips and offers us the opportunity to identify new opportunities in the digital world at various levels. It makes me proud to once again set an innovation benchmark in the activation of our partnership together with our long-standing partner Energy and to play a pioneering role in this topic of the future."
According to the press release, the Energy radio station in the Metaverse is "almost like a real studio" and has been virtually recreated 1:1. From the acoustic soundscape to the radio hosts on site or even your own station voices - for the first time with certain elements in English - the experience will be special, but also unique, as Pascal Frei explains: "Our radio station can be seen and heard. I'm looking forward to our presenters joining us live soon, sharing their thoughts with the community digitally and communicating with each other virtually."
Raffle for Energy-Air in the Metaverse
Who until 4 September 2022 the Energy radio studio in the Metaverse collects so-called "Shoap tokens" via the "Play to Earn" mechanism, which can be redeemed for prize draws for Energy Air tickets. Energy Air tickets will also be raffled off in Swisscom's virtual "blue Space". There are also plans for a live visit to the Metaverse radio studio during the Energy Air show, where viewers can immerse themselves in the virtual action.
In addition to the radio studio, the first Metaverse live concerts with Swisscom are planned for the end of the year, at which both national and international acts will inspire visitors to Web 3.0 musically in the style of an Energy Live session.
