Dept launches Metaverse Practice

The international digital agency Dept has announced the launch of its own metaverse practice, which brands can use to redefine the way they interact with consumers, according to a press release. The Metaverse Practice brings together around 100 crypto, blockchain and game developers, 3D artists, virtual and augmented reality experts and software engineers who have developed innovative AR/VR, Web3 and metaverse experiences for clients over the past year.

Dept says it is currently working with several global brands from the fashion, entertainment and commerce sectors and will be launching a number of new projects in the coming weeks, ranging from "immersive experiences" to NFT marketplaces.

"Over the past year, we have been able to gain a lot of experience with Web3 technologies to support our customers in the realisation of unique digital experiences. This gives brands the opportunity to develop fully immersive 3D worlds from scratch and transform the customer experience into a completely new reality," says Max Pinas, Executive Creative Director at Dept, in the press release: "With our dedicated Metaverse practice, we are able to bridge the gap between CMO and CTO. We see this as a creative opportunity comparable to the very first websites - we are at the dawn of a new digital age."

Yann Wanner, Head of New Business and Web3 contact at Dept Switzerland, adds: "As pioneers in tech and marketing, we help brands to always be one step ahead. To ensure that this is also the case in the Web3 world, we are planning to open a working hub in Zug's Crypto Valley in the near future in order to be even closer to the industry and our customers. "

In the last twelve months, Dept - which claims to be a pioneer in the field of Web3 innovation - has introduced a number of market innovations:
