"Red Dead Redemption 2", which is one of the most popular games on PC as well as consoles and was created by "GTA 5" developer Rockstar Games, can now also be experienced in virtual reality.
However, this is not an official product from Rockstar Games. Instead, a fan modification must be installed in order to play the open-world western game in VR. Luke Ross, who has previously published VR mods for "GTA 5" and "No One Lives Forever 2", is responsible for this. Furthermore, the game is only played with mouse and keyboard or with the gamepad, because motion controllers are not supported at the moment. In addition, of course, you have to live with all kinds of bugs and display problems. So the gaming experience is not quite rounded, but on the other hand the entire campaign of "Red Dead Redemption 2" can be completed in VR.
Those who want early access to the "RDR2 VR" mod must Patreon by Luke Ross, which costs at least 10 US dollars per month. This allows access to all of the modder's early development prototypes, including the "RDR2 VR" mod. Then, of course, there is also the full PC version of the game. What the whole thing looks like can otherwise be seen in the gameplay videos.
