Bethesda and id Software have released the "Doom 3: VR Edition" for PlayStation VR. The shooter can be played on the PlayStation 4 and, thanks to backwards compatibility, also on the PlayStation 5. The launch trailer serves as an introduction.
The "Doom 3: VR Edition" consists of the main game "Doom 3" and the two expansions "Resurrection of Evil" and "The Lost Mission". The content has been specially adapted for virtual reality. The PlayStation target controller is also supported. Thanks to the VR improvements, you can peer around corners or place shots precisely using the motion controls. A 180-degree quick turn function is also on board. A display on the wrist shows health, armour and ammunition.
The developers on the game: "Unravel the secrets behind the nefarious experiments of the UAC, face sinister monstrosities in extremely cramped environments and defend yourself against the spawns of hell with an arsenal of legendary (and even alien) weapons with new textures, shaders and sound effects. The campaign offers over 15 hours of thrilling action."
