Microsoft Flight Simulator has also been usable with VR headsets on the PC since December 2020, but one thing is not yet supported: the usual motion controllers. However, this is set to change.
As Jörg Neumann, the head of the responsible development team, explained in an interview with Eurogamer revealed that support for VR motion controllers is being worked on. Unfortunately, he did not reveal when the corresponding update will be released. It is also not known what exactly this support will look like.
Microsoft Flight Simulator currently supports control via mouse and keyboard, gamepad or even a flight stick. With a motion controller, for example, the game menus or the virtual controls and buttons in the cockpit can be operated with your own hands, which should provide even more immersion in conjunction with a flight stick.
