Respawn Entertainment has put a multiplayer trailer for the upcoming first-person shooter "Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond" online. In it, you can see the VR multiplayer battles for the first time.
In addition to classics such as "Deathmatch", "Team Deathmatch" and "Domination", "Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond" also introduces two new game modes: "Blast Radius", an explosive variant of "King of the Hill", and "Mad Bomber", a mode in which you have to defuse enemy bombs and place bombs yourself. According to the developers, "Mad Bomber" in particular was designed from the ground up specifically for virtual reality: "The bombs can be placed anywhere. So that's why players have to locate and defuse the bombs not only with their eyes, but also with their ears via the location-based 3D sound before they explode."
In addition, one can look forward to a variety of weapons and maps. They say: "No two weapons are alike, so players are free to choose between them according to their preferences. With a dozen maps in the game, there will also be plenty of opportunities to try out map-specific strategies." The new Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond will be playable on Oculus Rift, Quest, as well as select other headsets compatible with Steam VR from 11 December 2020.
