The Virtual Production Studio Vienna, Austria's most modern film, broadcast and streaming studio, opens in Vienna's Gösserhalle. The new studio in Vienna's Gösserhalle works with VR and AR technologies, among other things, and can also be used for advertising and events.

The Virtual Production Studio Vienna is revolutionising moving image productions in the film, television, advertising and event sectors. Completely independent of the seasons, the weather situation or travelling possibilities, the 5,200 m2 The large Gösserhalle in Vienna has created extensive potential for production and broadcasting in virtual spaces. This is made possible with a 270° film set consisting of high-resolution LED walls in conjunction with interactive real-time rendering software from the gaming sector, high-end hardware and camera tracking.

The studio can be used on several sides

Media Apparat, Habegger Austria and Lichtermacher have set up the Virtual Production Studio Vienna, which uses modern technologies to create new opportunities in the film, streaming and event sector. "The Virtual Production Studio Vienna not only offers production companies numerous new opportunities, but also creates a new type of platform for virtual conferences, interactive product presentations and 3D animations," explains Andreas Göltl, CEO at Media Apparat.

Set changeover in just a few seconds

Virtual reality and augmented reality solutions can be used to correct lighting conditions or simulate times of day. Using camera tracking in real time, the background adapts physically and in perspective to the movements in front of it. "Thanks to the new media technology in conjunction with an interactive gaming engine, motion capture and the link to high-end media servers, new sets can be created in a matter of seconds. With this combination, we offer completely new possibilities for the Austrian and international market," explains Stefan Kürzel, CEO at Lichtermacher.
