At February 2020 developer Media Molecule said that VR support for "Dreams" was almost ready, but there is currently no sign of it. The coronavirus has probably got in the way, but work is still ongoing.
Media Molecule is currently looking for a limited number of testers in Europe (only here) to help refine and develop the VR features of "Dreams". The feature has therefore not been abandoned. However, testers have to sign an NDA, which is why we probably won't hear much about it. You can register on the official side register and you may be selected.
Successful applicants who are allowed to look at "Dreams VR" must first complete an introductory session, report on their experiences with the game over a two-week period and then complete a final interview. As this involves some effort, the testers will be rewarded with £200. Unfortunately, there is no date yet for "Dreams VR".
