State Museum makes nuns virtual

Closed in real life, but open 24 hours a day in the digital world. It offers virtual visitors a whole range of video tours - including for children - and Blog posts on. And a virtual tour with 360° images through the exhibition "Nuns. Strong women in the Middle Ages". This allows visitors to explore the exhibition from the comfort of their own home via mobile phone or computer.

Nuns in the Middle Ages were far more than ascetic women who were only interested in the world within the convent walls. The convent offered women opportunities that they rarely had elsewhere - access to higher education, social security and the chance to escape family norms. The exhibition from the Landesmuseum "Nuns. Strong women in the Middle Ages" uses 15 representatives and valuable exhibits to show how different the lifestyles of spiritual women were in the Middle Ages and what opportunities were open to them.

On the virtual tour, you can glide through the rooms of the closed Landesmuseum at the touch of a button and immerse yourself in the female world of the convent.
