After Valve in November 2019 "Half-Life: Alyx", the popularity of Valve Index increased enormously, which is why the VR headset is still available in the Most regions sold out is. Now there is an impressive sales figure to report.
According to the market analysis of SuperData Valve Index sold 149,000 units in the whole of last year, with 103,000 sales in the fourth quarter alone. This is of course due to "Half-Life: Alyx". The majority of the 103,000 copies were probably sold from November 2019. It must be borne in mind that Valve Index sold out quickly. So the VR glasses could have sold much better.
No other PC VR headset sold better than Valve Index in the fourth quarter of 2019. Oculus Rift S, for example, came in at 71,000 units. According to SuperData's figures, PlayStation VR (338,000) and Oculus Quest (317,000) were still more successful than Valve Index, but these VR goggles are in a completely different price category and can be had for much less.
