Publisher Tripwire Interactive and developer Digital Lode have released the stealth game "Espire 1: VR Operative" for Oculus Rift, Oculus Quest, HTC Vive, Valve Index, Windows Mixed Reality and PlayStation VR after a postponement, including the launch trailer.
Thanks to virtual reality, the stealth action in "Espire 1: VR Operative" should be more immersive than in normal games of this type. The title even aims to set a new standard for the genre in VR. You slip into the role of a drone pilot under the command of the Australian government, who controls a so-called Espire robot from a distance.
As the drone can climb up metal surfaces, you can utilise the verticality of the environments to pounce on enemies from a height, for example. The guards can be distracted by throwing weapon magazines or other objects. However, you should also be correspondingly quiet if you want to sneak up on the enemy. According to the developers, "Espire 1: VR Operative" offers four to six hours of gameplay in six missions. There are also 25 smaller challenges on board.
