How we knowGroundhog Day: Like Father Like Son" is currently in development, which is a VR sequel to the legendary classic film "And every day the groundhog greets you" represents. The release date has now been set.
Sony Pictures Virtual Reality, MWM Immersive and Tequila Works announced at Gamescom 2019 in Cologne that the VR narrative adventure "Groundhog Day: Like Father Like Son" will be released on 17 September 2019 for PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. The new gameplay trailer serves as an introduction.
In "Groundhog Day: Like Father Like Son", you take on the role of Phil Connors Jr, the son of weatherman Phil Connors from the cult comedy. He returns to Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, to find himself in a time warp just like his father. To escape, you have to solve puzzles and explore the world depicted in the film.
According to the makers, well-known places and people from the film are represented as well as new characters. The further description: "The game offers entertaining puzzles that players must solve in order to unravel the mystery of their own time loop. On his journey through the game, the charming yet arrogant and social media-obsessed Phil Connors Jr. learns valuable lessons about life, love and the value of family."
