VR update for DiRT Rally 2.0 released

Codemasters has released a free VR update for "DiRT Rally 2.0" has been released. It is available via Steam (also available for HTC Vive and Valve Index) and in the Oculus Store for Oculus Rift. Unfortunately, there are no plans for PlayStation VR.

According to the official press release, players who purchase the "Oculus Edition" will receive five exclusive vehicles and the opportunity to compete against each other in daily, weekly and monthly special challenges. A gameplay trailer has been posted online to demonstrate the VR update. It also states: "Thanks to VR support, players are now even closer to the action and directly behind the wheel as they race their cars across the varied tracks of Poland or the hot tarmac of Spain."

"Since its release, there have always been loud voices in the community asking for a VR version of DiRT Rally 2.0. That's why we're delighted to be able to offer this for the PC version," says game director Ross Gowing. "Many of our players find that DiRT Rally really comes into its own in VR and now they have the opportunity to play like never before."
