Eric Chahi, the creator of the well-known classic "Another World", is known to be working on the unusual and creative VR game "Paper Beast" with his studio Pixel Reef. The game looks very promising and a new trailer is now available.
The new video shows some of the interactions with the vibrant wildlife that lives in a mysterious world born from "big data". An ecosystem has formed in the depths of a huge data server. In these forgotten corners of the internet, vast amounts of lost code and algorithms have accumulated over the decades to form a small and secluded oasis. The creatures you meet there are all made of paper.
"Paper Beast" will be released for PlayStation VR at the end of 2019 and also as a non-VR version for the PlayStation 4 in 2020. The prerequisites for a good game are in place. It will be interesting to see whether Eric Chahi can land another hit.
