Fight against this real robot in VR

Now it's getting really crazy! Youtuber James Bruton has developed a new project - it's man versus machine! He is taking virtual reality to a new level.

If it's not enough for you to take on virtual opponents in battle, you can do it like robotics engineer James Bruton and his team at the University of Portsmouth. All you need to do is have a little manual dexterity and build a combat robot.

As you can see in the video, the opponent consists of a wooden block as a base, many parts from the 3D printer and an air pressure system. To make it less dangerous, the robot is also wearing padded boxing gloves. Standing on small wheels, the robot rolls around and can throw harmless punches, which are made even more authentic by the virtual reality games.

It's interesting to see what creative ideas can now be created using 3D printing and VR glasses and how anyone can assemble their own playmate with a manageable amount of effort. Perhaps the robot shown will make it into the gaming sector in a similar form.
