Sony has two more quite interesting VR patents filed. However, it should be noted that patents do not necessarily mean that the technologies described in them will actually be realised.
The first patent aims to integrate PSVR owners into a live event at a real venue via the VR headset. For example, you are placed in the seat in the stadium to attend a sporting event. To make the whole experience even more immersive, the sounds from the immediate surroundings are transmitted in real time. So you will also hear the real people around your seat.
The second patent allows the avatars of friends to be placed in the crowd of NPCs. They can then follow the respective video game, for example a football or racing game, virtually in the stands and cheer on the player ingame. Earlier in the month, another VR patent from Sony to improve the VR experience for spectacle wearers, including eye tracking.
