Why read about history when you can be there "live"? Thanks to the 360° virtual reality journey through time, visitors to Schloss Tratzberg can experience 500 years of history up close.
Thanks to the latest technology, visitors can now Tratzberg Castle 500 Jahre Geschichte live und mit VR in 3D miterleben. „Damit ist Tratzberg das erste Schloss in Österreich, welches diesen innovativen Schritt in die Zukunft wagt“, teilt die Schlossführung mit.
Die Reise beginnt in einer stürmischen Winternacht des 15. Jahrhunderts. Über dem Besucher erhebt sich drohend Kaiser Maximilians alte Burg „Tratzperch“. Plötzlich lodern Flammen auf und das düstere Gemäuer zerfällt zu Schutt und Asche. Doch rasch beginnt der Wiederaufbau. Der erste, spätgotische Teil von Tratzberg entsteht und der Besucher ist mittels der 360°- VR-Tour mittendrin.
The virtual reality journey through time was produced by the Belgian company Alfavision. Architectural historians, medieval experts and the lady of the castle and her team spent 14 months realising the 250,000 euro attraction. Until now, the virtual reality tour has only been shown to an exclusive test audience. It is now open to everyone. Just like the radio play tour, the virtual reality journey through time is also available in German, English, Italian, French, Spanish, Dutch, Hungarian and Japanese and the children's version in German, English, Italian and Dutch.
