Ubisoft has announced that the free open beta of the VR arcade shooter "Space Junkies" launches today. The open beta will be available on PlayStation VR from 21 to 24 March 2019. The test will last one day longer on Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Windows Mixed Reality.
The open beta gives players the opportunity to try out "Space Junkies" for free before the global launch on 26 March 2019. You can think of it as a demo, because according to Ubisoft, the open beta will offer the same experience as the main game. During the open beta, PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Windows Mixed Reality owners will be able to compete as a team or against each other across platforms.
The open beta includes four different PvP modes that can be played on several maps. There is also a variety of characters, each with unique characteristics. Ubisoft has also released a new trailer for "Space Junkies".
