Pablo Lafora from Tessara Studios ("Intruders: Hide and Seek") believes that PlayStation VR will also play an important role in the upcoming PlayStation 5. Sony has not yet given any precise details on this.

With Sony and the PS5, he says it's quite different: "PSVR is an add-on and PS Move is already nine years old. It worked great and it doesn't seem like they planned it from the beginning. Sony knows VR/AR is the future, so I think VR will play a much more important role in PS5."
He added: "We think the console has been designed with VR in mind from the beginning, so it probably won't be an add-on anymore, although that doesn't mean it will be exclusively a VR gadget.
