The Felix & Paul Studios provide the Sundance Film Festival to present a VR documentary about the famous rapper Eminem. The 360-degree film "Marshall From Detroit" is 21 minutes long. The director is Caleb Slain.
In "Marshall From Detroit", you explore Detroit, Eminem's hometown, through the eyes of the rapper. A trailer provides impressions. "Our idea was to extend the familiarity offered by VR beyond a one-off ride with Marshall to introduce you to a more mystical version of Detroit that you could never experience for yourself. We wanted to take the 'reality' out of VR and turn it into something more unreal, but also truthful," says Caleb Slain.
"Our studio has a history of using technology to tell stories in new, more immersive ways, to create experiences that lie at the intersection of the familiar and the extraordinary. Marshall From Detroit is a sparkling expression of this, inviting you on a surreal ride through Detroit with Eminem himself," adds Paul Raphael, co-founder of Felix & Paul Studios. "Marshall From Detroit" will be released in February 2019 for Oculus Go and Oculus Rift.
