KLM's digital travel magazine iFly now offers the opportunity to experience some of the most beautiful places in the world in 360 degrees using virtual reality.
Together with the Kenyan-born celebrity chef Kiran Jethwa, the virtual travellers walk through the Thai jungle in search of the most unusual cup of coffee in the world. They experience the coffee-making process from bean to brew and get closer than ever to the elephants involved in making this special coffee.
"With the use of virtual reality, KLM is breaking new ground in inspiring people and offering them unique experiences. Our digital magazine iFly reaches millions of readers and we want to surprise them again and again," says Boet Kreiken, Executive Vice President Customer Experience KLM.
More films in planning
Soon shows iFly breathtaking travel videos with 360-degree views, where viewers can explore the entire surroundings - almost as if they were on a real trip. The films are an experience with or without VR glasses and can be watched on a computer, tablet or smartphone. The next iFly VR production will take place in Hawaii.
