Augmented reality experience for worlds of experience

Falcon's Creative Group presents a new augmented reality experience for worlds of experience under the name "Falcon's Vision". Users experience a reality altered by virtual aspects.

Falcon's Creative Group, an American service company specialising in the design and production of themed experiences for theme parks and adventure worlds, is presenting "Falcon's Vision", a new augmented reality experience designed to expand the possibilities for using the new technology. For many experts, AR represents a further development of VR technology.

To use AR technology, users wear special headsets with glasses which, in contrast to virtual reality technology, allow them to see reality but add virtual aspects to it through the glasses. The real environment is filled with virtual content that can be used for entertainment or navigation, for example.

With a field of view of around 55 degrees, the glasses used in "Falcon's Vision" offer a larger viewing radius than other AR glasses. The virtual content extends across the widest corners of the viewing window, ensuring an uninterrupted viewing experience. The headset can also be fitted with polarised 3D lenses as an option.

The augmented reality technology from Falcon's Creative Group has been specially designed for theme parks, museums, galleries, zoos and aquariums. Guests can, for example, bring fossils to life or delve deeper into aquarium areas to explore unknown worlds. The virtual content itself can be updated regularly or seasonally.

"Augmented reality is an exciting and powerful new medium for experiential design and immersive storytelling," says Jason Ambler, Head of Production at Falcon's Creative Group, describing the technology. The headsets are secured with robust and waterproof housings and can be cleaned after each use.

Virtual and augmented reality has been a topic in various theme parks for some time now: we have already reported on the applications in the Europapark Rust as well as in the Legoland reported. But even with a well-known Chilbi attraction and in a Aquapark VR has already been able to establish itself and offer added value to the existing offerings.
