The VR animated short film "Crow: The Legend" has been released. Starring John Legend, Oprah Winfrey and Constance Wu, the film is a new collaboration between the Baobab Studios and Oculus Studios.
"Crow: The Legend" gives the user an active role over a crow with the ability to influence the weather and environment with touch controls. "Crow: The Legend brings storytelling and music together in a way that no one else has done in virtual reality in this form. It's an incredible medium to inspire a journey of self-discovery and find your way in times of darkness," explains John Legend. "Given what's happening in the world today, it's a message of deep meaning that people from all walks of life can embrace."
To tell the story of Crow: The Legend, Baobab Studios has partnered with Native Americans in Philanthropy (NAP). Sarah Eagle Heart, CEO of NAP: "We share this wisdom through storytelling, with stories that have been passed down through many generations for thousands of years. We are emotionally, physically and spiritually connected to these stories that teach us right from wrong and provide a framework for living full, compassionate and engaged lives."
