Cubera was one of the few companies at VRDAYS that is primarily based in the BTB sector rather than the consumer sector. We wanted to find out how this worked from Michael Fretz, Head of Design know.
How were the VRDays for you?
The VR Days were an inspiring event for us. We had exciting discussions and were able to make many contacts. The number of visitors was perfect for us. There were neither long queues at our stand, which could have led to intensive discussions with visitors, nor were there too few visitors, which would have led to many breaks.
What was the benefit for you?
We were able to establish good contacts and new projects are already emerging.
Which visitors were you most pleased with?
Basically, we addressed all visitors who were not at the VR Days for gaming. We were therefore most pleased about the business people.
How did visitors react to your attraction?
Different. There were people who wanted to try out the HoloLens, but also those who were looking for business solutions. The majority of reactions were very positive.
Did you also visit other attractions and if so, what did you particularly like?
Yes, we were. What I liked best were the conversations we had with the other operators. We already knew some of them from our studies. So it was also a kind of reunion.
Is there also criticism?
The Wi-Fi was too weak and we had a lot of interference on the HoloLens. We should have sealed it off a bit more. More choice of food would also be better.
What surprised you in particular?
That so many people were there despite the beautiful weather.
To whom would you recommend the VRDAYS?
Anyone who wants to try out new technologies or is interested in gaming. Especially families with children.
