After the stand-alone VR gaming headset was presented at Oculus Connect 5, the Oculus Quest was unveiled, a compelling title was also announced for the device. The title in question is "Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series".
"Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series" consists of a total of three episodes and will be launched next year. The stand-alone storyline of "Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series", in which Darth Vader will logically play an important role, takes place between episodes 3 and 4.
The production is taken care of by ILMxLAB, a division of Lucasfilm. "Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series" takes VR users to the planet Mustafar and to Darth Vader's fortress, which was already featured in "Rogue One". Unfortunately, no concrete information is available on the actual gameplay, but the first trailer makes you want more.
"Whether it's hearing Darth Vader's breathing behind you, physically turning around to address him in person, or wielding a lightsaber with your own hands, Vader Immortal captures the ultimate wish fulfilment," said Oculus Head of Experiences, Colum Slevin, who also mentions an amazing story.
