Winking Entertainment has announced that "Unearthing Mars 2: The Ancient War" will be released for PlayStation VR on 18 September 2018, but this time as a pure first-person shooter. With the Predecessor it was still different.
Slow-motion superpowers, distinctive weapons and challenging boss battles are promised for "Unearthing Mars 2: The Ancient War". "This second instalment continues the adventures, with one change. This time it's a full first-person shooter with shooter gameplay from the fan-favourite final chapters of the first game," said Eleanor LiuMarketing and PR Manager at Winking Entertainment.
"Unearthing Mars 2: The Ancient War" can even be played with the PSVR Aim controller. Eleanor Liu said: "With the PSVR aim controller in your repertoire, you'll take out enemies as you travel back in time to an ancient civilisation on Mars. The new gameplay allows you to shoot at enemies as you manoeuvre in and out of action-packed battles with ease."
The various stages offer six or more weapons to choose from. The main weapons are an assault rifle and a shotgun. Special weapons such as rocket launchers, plasma cannons and machine guns are also unlocked as the game progresses. Impressions of "Unearthing Mars 2: The Ancient War" can be seen in the latest trailer.
