Digitalisation has finally arrived in football: Norwegian international Martin Ødegaard gives an interesting insight into the world of modern football in an Instagram post and shows how virtual reality goggles helped him during his rehabilitation phase.
Towards the end of his loan spell at SC Heerenveen, the talented Norwegian had to take a break for a good two months due to a broken metatarsal - a time that is particularly valuable for such a young player in his development phase. The youngster has now revealed on Instagram how the youngest international in Norwegian football history has kept himself fit despite his forced physical break. With the help of VR glasses, the 19-year-old Norwegian simulated match situations in which
he was supposed to make the optimum playing decisions with the help of a controller - so he could train to a certain extent and still protect his foot.
"Fun but hard work. No physical strain. Thank you @beyourbest_pro for helping me train my overview and decision making during my injury. I feel good", wrote the young talent under his video.
