Eight VR Experiences for Ready Player One

The theatrical release of "Ready Player One" on 29 March 2018 will be eight different VR experiences/games to accompany. All eight titles will be released for free for HTC Vive (via Steam and Viveport) ahead of the film's release.

Those responsible for HTC Vive have teamed up with several VR developers to capture the essence of the "Ready Player One" universe. As should already be known, Steven Spielberg's "Ready Player One the virtual world, which is why VR experiences for home use certainly lend themselves.

"Ready Player One has inspired both the current and future state of the VR industry. Vive is uniquely positioned to deliver on the promise of VR today," said Joel Breton, GM of Vive Studios. "We've brought together a group of our best developers to bring content inspired by Ready Player One to life in a way that will resonate with audiences long after they've seen the movie." Battle for OASIS

Help save OASIS by defeating the waves of IOI Sixers. Through the trenches of Planet Doom to the snow-covered planes surrounding Anorak's castle. With an arsenal only possible in OASIS, you must prevent IOI from gaining control.

Battle an almost invincible army of highly skilled IOI Sixers. Gauntlet

Navigate through a seemingly endless dungeon as the undead try to destroy you. Collecting gold will improve your score and eating food will restore your health. But only your bow skills will ensure you make it alive.

Aech's Garage

Immerse yourself in the extraordinary world of Aech's Garage in VR, interpreted from the original ILM design for Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One. Inspired by the virtual universe of OASIS in 2045, Aech's Garage represents the pinnacle of VR as it exists in 2018.

The distracted globe music experience in TheWaveVR

Step into the fantastic space inspired by "The Distracted Globe Zero-Gravity Dance Club" scene from Ready Player One. The WaveVR experience immerses you in the dance club scene with specially designed avatars, visuals and music of the 80s and the possibility to fly in zero gravity to the music.
