Myst makers work on VR game Firmament

The development studio Cyanwhich created the legendary "Myst" in the 90s and also released "Obduction" in 2016, is working on the VR title "Firmament". This certainly brings back memories of "Myst".

A first trailer for "Firmament" shows a deserted icy landscape and a steampunk setting. It is about a magical artefact and you are also accompanied by the ghost of a deceased mentor. The adventure will take place in four game regions, which is why we will apparently be travelling through more than just the icy landscape.

Firmament" is said to be a new kind of VR experience, but it remains to be seen what the developers mean by this. Unfortunately, Cyan has not yet named any platforms or a release date, but "Firmament" is to be shown at GDC 2018 in San Francisco, which takes place from 19 to 23 March 2018. The official site provides some impressions.
