On 30 January 2018 at around 9 p.m., Bethesda will release an update for the PC version of "Doom VFR". The update makes it possible to move freely in the first-person shooter. Previously, you had to play with teleportation.
Smooth movements are promised to minimise nausea. You can also set the speed of movement and other options to optimise your experience of "Doom VFR".
The update also includes support for Windows Mixed Reality headsets (in addition to HTC Vive). Unfortunately, Oculus Rift is still ignored. Otherwise, various bug fixes are provided and the Changelog provides all further details. By the way: Free full-locomotion control was possible with PlayStation VR right from the start.
